State governments are at the forefront of emergency and disaster preparedness and response. Virtually every state provides its citizens with information on the topic through its Emergency Management web site. If you want to find information specific to your state, just go to your state’s emergency management site to locate what you want.

Clicking on the state name will open the agency’s home page or the page on mitigation if the agency has one, in a new window. You can then search the site for information on mitigation plans and efforts being undertaken in that state.
