County Emergency Management Agencies are at the grassroots level of disaster preparedness activities in any community. In connection with state-level disaster preparedness activities, many counties have already begun to put together their own preparedness plans, or have completed those plans.
You should contact your local county emergency management agency for information on preparedness plans and activities ongoing in your county.
This web site does not currently contain links to every county in every state which has a web site. That project is currently under development. In addition, not every county has a dedicated emergency management agency, and not every emergency management agency has a web site. The links to state emergency management agencies are on the Preparedness Resources - State Level page of this web site.
A link to the National Association of Counties is on the right side of this page. You can also use that link to search for your county’s web site.
I have chosen for the moment to list on this page the county emergency management agencies in Minnesota and Wisconsin that have web sites.
